How we think is the foundation of our reality. The world we see is a result of our thoughts, our perceptions, and how we feel about ourselves all comes back around to how we think.
As a healer and energy practitioner, I recognize our thoughts have a frequency. Each word has its own vibration, when the words create a sentence, a larger frequency is created.
Unfavorable thoughts about yourself affect your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. These thoughts can be most challenging, since they can be a result of your belief system.
The word neuropeptides were coined by Candace Pert in her research on brain function. Neuropeptides are the chemical messenger’s that travel throughout the body whenever we think a thought or speak a word. When we think and speak negatively or think of ourselves unkindly, we are producing chemicals that depress our immune system.
How words affect the physical was the experiment conducted by Dr. Masaru Emoto. In short, he took two glasses of water, placed negative words on one and positive words on the other glass of water. He then looked at the water molecules after leaving the glasses of water for a time. Amazingly, the water molecules in the negative glass of water, were deformed, while the positive glass of water formed beautiful snowflake shaped molecules.
From the research above, we can see that our thoughts and words are more powerful than we realize. And why wouldn’t we realize this? We have so much on our minds. It has been previously estimated that we think 60-80,000 thoughts a day. This is why mindfulness is so important and has become so useful. Our lives are busier, information is at our fingertips, we lack patience, focus and time.
The last two and half months have been an opportunity to re-arrange our expectations, the way we approach our lives and how we relate to ourselves and others and slow down.
Take the time to instill a new habit of choosing your thoughts carefully. This is where affirmations can help to work with your mind’s repetitive thoughts. Start your day with a positive statement about yourself and remind yourself of the statement throughout your day. Choose your words, slow down your responses. Begin the practice of being the observer of your thoughts. Choose to vibrate higher in your life and see the changes that will occur.
